Program: Major renovation of an existing 3 bedroom home originally built in 1856.
Solution: The creation of new exterior living spaces and the introduction of additional light and air in the upper floor were the catalysts for a design concept that completely transformed this home. The project includes a new wrap-around porch, new kitchen, 2nd floor dormer, 2nd floor bathroom and additional interior space upgrades. The carefully considered renovations have also resulted in the home having a brand new look and a more gracious and welcoming feel, while fitting in comfortably with its more traditional neighbors.
The project won the Boston Globe Magazine's Home of the Year Contest in 2007
