Program: 18 unit Townhouse development
Solution: The project is a neighborhood of 18 residential condominiums that are grouped into 4 larger individual buildings that reflect the strong Victorian and Shingle style influence found in many of the large single family homes in Winchester. Bay windows, wrap-around porches, shingle siding and steeply pitched roofs with asymmetrical gables all contribute to an aesthetic that fits well within the community. The 2 BR units offer private ground floor garages, 2nd floor living & dining spaces, 3rd floor bedrooms and exterior decks. The buildings themselves are sited to create a cadence of paved and landscaped spaces that provide an intimately-scaled domestic feel while responding to site restrictions and anticipating a potential future expansion of the project.
